At the same time, our nonprofit partners continue to face an unprecedented demand for services in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The result — a 30% increase in requests for United Way program funding for our 2022-2024 United Way funding application cycle.

Change starts at United Way. But it doesn’t happen alone. That’s why we’re partnering with Independent Health to challenge our community to be part of creating lasting change this March.
Now through March 31, your donation will be matched $1 for $1 up to $50,000 thanks to a generous contribution from Independent Health.
There is no one solution to create systemic change. Tackling our community’s toughest challenges takes investing in approaches across every stage of life.
Change starts with healthy, full-term births for moms and babies. It starts with high-quality early childhood education for all children, so that more kids are on track for reading by 3rd grade.
Change starts with access to healthy food and increased physical activity. It starts with social-emotional and mental health supports that ensure students graduate high school, ready for college and careers.
Change starts with supporting a strong workforce, helping people get and keep good jobs. It starts with financial management and asset building coaching, so that more community members can save for the future.
Change starts with all of us when we choose to show up for one another.
