WOMEN WHO CARE WEEK

Since 2014 Women United has been able to grant over $60,000 to local nonprofits at Women Who Care. While we are not able to celebrate these deserving nonprofits in person this year, they have never needed us to come together more.
The premise was simple. Each attendee made a $100 contribution and nominated an organization from a list of United Way-funded agencies. Three nominations were chosen at random and the women who nominated the three organizations had three minutes to advocate for their chosen nonprofit. Once all presentations have been made, all attendees vote, and the winner received $10,000.
Although this year will look a bit different, that does not mean we can not make an impact. In lieu of coming together in person, this year we will look back and celebrate past winners and encourage all past attendees to donate their typical $100 ticket fee to United Way's Join the Fight fund. And right now, you have an incredible opportunity to double your donation’s impact through a dollar for dollar matching grant from the National Fuel Gas Company Foundation.
